Pitta anit-cellulite massage
PITTA AYUR BODYWORK MASSAGE

Anti-Pitta soothing Ayurvedic massage oil o anti-cellulite massage therapy is a particular treatment, according to Ayurveda (science of the body types)for those who suffer predominantly certain ailments that corresponds to certain characteristics of the dosha "Pitta" body type, this works by counter-acting the build up of Pitta in the body, carried out best from early spring through to summertime.
Pitta predominance shows on the skin's surface of the epidermis, often redness and blothchiness are visibly seen, especially in summer period or in extreme cold weather, that developes sensitivity to touch and when applied certain harsh facial products such as exfoliators, this irritates their skin even more! Puffiness of ankles and fluid retention also are more aggravated in summer months.
AYUR RECOMMENDATIONS and BEAUTY TIPS for PITTAS TYPES:
- They need to stay out of the heat as much as possible during the summer months and avoid sunbathing during peak times from 11am to 3pm when the sun is at its hottest, paying attention to use complete tanning care for their skin, maximum high factor SPF total cover up so that they do not aggravate their redness or even worse, sunbathing without the proper protection may lead to outbrakes of capillaries especially around the nose area and on the cheeks which may in time cause veins to appear and worse cases Acne rosacea
- They need to avoid extreme cold wind and weather on their faces, again total cover up with SPF foundation with a base make up cream, preferably with SPF high factor in all products
- Best at night time, after using a soothing cleanser to use a Pitta soothing face and body oil, in summertime this will cool the face and the body type down from the days sun and reduce the redness and blotchy aspect of the skin
- For bodycare, great caution is needed, use specific "Garshan silk gloves" for dry body brushing as Pittas are proned to fluid retention and cellulite, this is very important, again using the erractic cosmetics such as wooden brushes may damage Pitta's sensitive and delicate skin, causing capillaries to break in the micro circulation and veins to appear on the legs and thighs.
EXTREME CAUTION FOR PITTA FACIALS ARE NEEDED: client must not be left unattended on no account if steam is being used!
- Recommended not to use direct steam on the face, if steam is absolutely necessary, steam must not be directed fully on the face, again total cover up of the cheek and nose areas is essential in order to avoid redness and breaking of capillaries.
- Use Pitta soothing face oil for exfoliation with the appropriate Pitta soothing face stone, slightly tiepied or left cold but not warm or hot, followed by a very light lymphactic drainage massage is excellent on the neck and face areas but not using the same pressure of touch as in Kapha skin types, (read Kapha skincare section for oily skin types)
